Climate Change Planning and Energy Efficiency

In addition to reducing consumer costs, providing grid stability and reducing energy demand, implementing energy efficiency strategies also creates a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions from power plants. Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI)

The Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, or RGGI, is a cooperative effort by Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic states to reduce carbon dioxide emissions that cause climate change. States participating in RGGI are developing a regional strategy for controlling emissions.
