NEEP's report on Strategies to Increase Residential HVAC Efficiency in the Northeast is now available online. The research was conducted through a State Technologies Advancement Collaborative (STAC) grant, awarded by the National Association of State Energy Offices (NASEO). Matching funds were contributed by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) and the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities.

NEEP's January 2006 report on The Need for and Approaches to Developing Common Protocols to Measure, Verify and Report Energy Efficiency Savings in the Northeast is now available to download. The report, funded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, is intended to serve as the basis for developing a framework and dialog on creating common regional measurement and verification and reporting protocols to help advance energy efficiency in the context of achieving important energy, economic and environmental goals. NEEP has updated its study, "Economically Achievable Energy Efficiency Potential in New England," which shows the significant economic, energy and environmental gains that can be made by pursuing more cost-effective energy efficiency.

The new Building Operator Certification evaluation is complete. The findings of this independent study, which was sponsored by a group of electric and gas utility companies and other energy efficiency program administrators in the Northeast, confirms that the program provides effective efficiency training that yields real savings for facilities in the region.
