NEEP Launches Regional Evaluation, Measurement and Verification (EM&V) Resource Center Project. Guided by an advisory committee representing a range of stakeholders in the Northeast region, this project will explore the feasibility of a regional evaluation, measurement and verification resource center including testing potential functions/services, and developing a multi-year plan based on in-depth interviews with key stakeholders. EPA releases its “National Action Plan Vision for 2025” and other important energy efficiency resources. As part of its National Action Plan on Energy Efficiency (NAPEE), EPA has released its National Action Plan Vision for 2025 report, as well as various guides that provide model practices for evaluating energy efficiency programs, resource planning, and estimating achievable energy efficiency potential. The American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy (ACEEE) has created an online resource guide providing simple tips for no-cost and low-cost energy efficiency measures, as well as advice for major energy saving investments. In addition, ACEEE is among several organizations who have developed an online resource describing the various federal tax incentives available to consumers for energy efficiency improvements. The Environmental Protection Agency has issued a Clean Energy-Environment Guide to Action that describes 16 policies and strategies, including energy efficiency, that states have used to meet their energy, environmental and economic objectives. State energy offices, public utility commissions, environmental regulators, other policymakers can use the Guide to analyze and implement programs that successfully integrate clean energy into a low-cost, reliable energy system for their state.
