Louis De George is NEEP's new director of training and education. Louis is a nationally recognized senior corporate development and training executive with 15 years experience developing, implementing and managing state-of-the-art programs, policies and initiatives. In this new position, Louis will be responsible for developing, marketing and delivering high quality training and related educational products and services regarding best practices to increase energy efficiency in homes, buildings and industry. He will direct the training and educational efforts for NEEP's Building Operator Certification (BOC) Program, Building Energy Codes and the High Performance Schools Exchange. He will also develop new opportunities for training and educational products and services. A resident of Ipswich, Mass., he holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts and multiple certifications as an instructor and in curriculum design. NEEP Welcomes New Office Systems Coordinator Tom Eirich is NEEP's new office systems coordinator, and is responsible for managing the technical functions for our offices. Tom has 20 years of experience in the IT industry. A retiree from Lincoln Laboratory, he held the position of Supervisor of Network Computing. He was also an Adjutant Professor at Emmanuel College, responsible for developing and teaching Information Management courses at the graduate level. Tom can be reached at 781-860-9177, extension 10. NEEP Says Farewell to Alan Mulak, Longtime BOC Program Manager Longtime BOC Manager Alan Mulak recently left NEEP to pursue a new consulting opportunity. During his tenure at NEEP, Alan made tremendous contributions to get the BOC program off the ground and to its current level of success. Although we are sad to see him go, we wish him good luck in all his future endeavors. Other Announcements Speaking of the BOC, since its expansion in all eight NEEP states (NY, NJ, MA, RI, CT, VT, NH, ME), additional trainers are needed. Since its inception in 1998, NEEP has coordinated the Northeast Residential ENERGY STAR® Products Initiative To date, the program has helped transform the marketplace of energy efficiency lighting and appliance markets in the region.
