February & March 2010
SEEN & HEARD

  • Policy Outreach Manager Natalie Hildt testified at Connecticut's 2010 Integrated Resources Plan hearing on February 11, 2010. She made the case for robust investment in energy efficiency programs and urged the state not to raid ratepayer efficiency funds to bridge the budget deficit.

  • NEEP continued work in New Hampshire to advance energy efficiency on several legislative fronts. Public Policy Director Jim O'Reilly and Building Energy Codes Manager Don Vigneau testified at legislative hearings on February 11 on policies regarding building energy codes and high performance building standards. Natalie Hildt testified on February 18 in support of a bill aimed at improving efficiency program coordination and effectiveness through an extensive review process, and against a bill that seeks to offer efficiency financing opportunities in a manner that NEEP deemed well intentioned, but misguided.
