NEEP announced today that that the annual Northeast Energy Efficiency Summit, the premier annual event for showcasing the region's leadership in accelerating energy efficiency, will be held in Stamford, CT at the Hilton Stamford Hotel on June 13 & 14. Connecticut Light and Power has signed on as the event's first Platinum sponsor. The theme, The Business Case for Efficiency, will focus on how leading policy, industry, and business leaders use energy efficiency programs and policies as a tool to stimulate the economy, create jobs, decrease energy costs and reduce our carbon footprint

Organizations Recognized for Achieving Significant Energy Savings in Warwick, RI

 

LEXINGTON, MA, June 7, 2011 – Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships (NEEP) is recognizing 12 regional organizations as ‘Business Leaders for Energy Efficiency’ for their outstanding efforts to advance energy efficiency at the Northeast Energy Efficiency Summit in Warwick, RI on Wednesday, June 8. Together, these organizations have achieved a cumulative annual cost savings of over $3.3 million by investing in energy efficiency measures.

LEXINGTON, MA – Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships (NEEP) has announced that Positive Promotions will be recognized as a ‘Business Leader for Energy Efficiency’ at the Northeast Energy Efficiency Summit in Warwick, RI on June 8, 2011. Sponsored by Long Island Power Authority (LIPA), Positive Promotions is being honored for its continued efforts to advance energy efficiency in its operations, which have resulted in annual energy savings of nearly 1.5 million kWh and cost savings of over $240,000.

LEXINGTON, MA – Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships (NEEP) has announced that Building & Land Technology (BLT) will be recognized as a ‘Business Leader for Energy Efficiency’ at the Northeast Energy Efficiency Summit in Warwick, RI on June 8, 2011. Nominated by the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund in partnership with Yankee Gas, BLT is being honored for its expansive efforts to accelerate energy efficiency in its mixed-use facilities which have resulted in annual energy cost savings of over $70,000.

Mall Management Company Recognized for Its Commitment to Achieving Significant Energy Savings

LEXINGTON, MA – Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships (NEEP) has announced that the Westfield Group will be recognized as a ‘Business Leader for Energy Efficiency’ at the Northeast Energy Efficiency Summit in Warwick, RI on June 8, 2011. Sponsored by the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund in partnership with The United Illuminating Company, the owner and property manager of the Westfield Trumbull Shopping Center is being honored for its continued efforts to advance energy efficiency in their Connecticut property which have resulted in annual energy savings of over 1,467,275 kWh, and cost savings of $250,395. Westfield Group and The United Illuminating Company were able to build and leverage a very productive working relationship from the early stages of the project that contributed to this success; measurable by metrics in addition to the energy efficiency results and financial benefits of incentives and savings.

LEXINGTON, MA – Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships (NEEP) has announced that FM Global, one of the world’s largest commercial property insurers, will be recognized as a ‘Business Leader for Energy Efficiency’ at the Northeast Energy Efficiency Summit in Warwick, RI on June 8, 2011. Nominated by National Grid, the mutual insurance company is being honored for its tremendous effort in keeping energy efficiency a guiding principle throughout the construction of its 366,660 sq. ft., corporate headquarters based in Johnston, RI. Using many energy-efficient measures, FM Global conserves more than 3 million kWh per year—a cost savings of more than $350,000—which, in large part, ranks the office building among Rhode Island’s greenest.

Nominated by the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund in partnership with Connecticut Light & Power, PTI is being honored for its expansive efforts to advance energy efficiency in its manufacturing operations which have resulted in annual energy savings of nearly 2 million kWh, and total cost savings of over $334,000.

Massachusetts Airline Recognized for its Commitment to Achieving Significant Energy Savings

LEXINGTON, MA – Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships (NEEP) has announced that Cape Air will be recognized as a ‘Business Leader for Energy Efficiency’ at the Northeast Energy Efficiency Summit in Warwick, RI on June 8, 2011. Nominated by Cape Light Compact, the independent airline is being honored for its expansive efforts to make its Hyannis Fleet Building headquarters a net-zero electricity facility in which the building will produce energy equal to what the building consumes. Their work has resulted in annual electricity savings of 364,000 kWh.

NEEP has announced that the annual Northeast Energy Efficiency Summit, the premier annual event for showcasing the region's leadership in accelerating energy efficiency, will be held in Warwick, RI June 7-8 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Prominent efficiency advocates, Paul Roberti, Commissioner, RI Public Utility Commission, and James Madej, National Grid, Senior Vice President and Chief Customer Officer are the Co-Chairs for this year's summit.
