Voices for SSL Efficiency 2008: Opportunities to Partner and Participate
All solid state lighting (SSL) stakeholders are invited to join the U.S. Department of Energy in a dialogue on how government, efficiency programs, utilities, industry, the design community, and others are working together to shape markets for SSL products, to maximize market acceptance and national energy savings.
“Voices for SSL Efficiency 2008” is hosted by the U.S. Department of Energy, Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance, Energy Trust of Oregon, and Puget Sound Energy and will be held July 9-11 in Portland, Oregon. Highlights will include:
- TUTORIALS: Learn how LED lighting systems work, where and how they are best applied, and how to evaluate their performance.
- GETTING STARTED: What can efficiency program managers and others do now to prepare for high-performance SSL products?
- PRODUCT COMMERCIALIZATION ISSUES: A look at technology needs, issues, and barriers affecting widespread adoption of SSL.
- DEMONSTRATIONS: Details on performance data and economics from DOE GATEWAY and private demonstrations.
- ENERGY STAR FOR SSL: Learn more about product qualification, quality assurance, tools, and resources for manufacturers and program sponsors.
- LED MEASUREMENT: Updates on the latest DOE CALiPER test results and the test methods used for measuring LED product performance.
