Introducing NEEP’s TINSSL Newsletter!

Thank you for taking a look at this, the first edition of NEEP’s TINSSL Newsletter. Our mission, as part of our funding from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), is to disseminate information about solid state lighting (SSL) and the DOE’s research, development and commercialization effort that you need to know in order to stay ahead of this emerging opportunity. We work in partnership with other organizations throughout the country, the Technical Information Network for Solid State Lighting (TINSSL), to share goings on and discuss current developments and upcoming events related to the DOE program. 

This newsletter will be published quarterly and our goal is to share with readers the latest news, information and insights that will benefit parties who are currently involved in solid state lighting as well as those that are pondering how and when they should get involved.

Our format will be to present one “feature” article to provide some depth on a topic of particular importance or timeliness, and to provide brief updates on current news from the SSL world. Although our primary focus is the Northeast, the information we share is intended to be useful to anyone, anywhere. In addition to this publication, the most up-to-date information is always available at the U.S. DOE’s SSL web page and at NEEP’s TINSSL web page.
