The C&I Information Exchange seeks to provide a forum for identifying, discussing and revealing best practices, innovative approaches and crosscutting themes while recognizing and embracing the relative complexity of the medium to large commercial and industrial sector and the differences among program designs and strategies across various sponsor jurisdictions.

C&I Exchange Status
The C&I Exchange forums offer presentations by and discussions with leading experts with an opportunity for a facilitated exchange between initiative sponsors of related issues, developments and experience. The intent is to identify new opportunities and best practices for cost-effective energy and demand savings in the commercial and industrial sectors through new technologies, innovative programs, information exchange and strategic alliances. Topics have included Peak Demand Reduction, Exceeding Code by 50% and Building Commissioning.
C&I Exchange Goals
NEEP will continue the C&I Information Exchange in 2007 to:
Increase initiative sponsor access to information about effective energy efficiency program strategies and new opportunities for regional cost-effective energy savings.
Identify strategic opportunities to coordinate program activities within the region to achieve long-term market transformation goals including crosscutting market sector approaches.
2007 C&I Exchange Topics
NEEP will conduct quarterly regional exchange forums with leading experts in 2007 on the following (tentative) topics:
Energy Efficiency to Achieve Peak Demand Reduction: Opportunities and Developments
Approaches to Serving the Industrial Customer
Exceeding Building Energy Codes by 50 Percent
Engaging Large Customers with Facilities in Multiple States
For each forum, NEEP will identify and invite a leading expert speaker or panel, arrange an appropriate location for the forum; prepare and distribute relevant background information; facilitate a participant exchange on key issues and opportunities for strategic coordination in the region; and facilitate follow-up activities. NEEP will develop the content of each with initiative sponsor input and may modify topics based on the same.
