Undergraduate and Graduate students interested in pursuing a career in energy, energy efficiency, the environment, business, public policy, facility management, engineering or architecture are eligible for a scholarship to attend the 2008 Northeast Energy Efficiency Summit.

Recipients will receive free admission to this regional event being held in Hartford, Connecticut on May 22, 2008. Scholarship recipients will:

• Develop relationships with industry experts.
• Network with business executives, policymakers, consumer advocates, environmental regulators, energy efficiency service providers and efficiency program administrators.
• Learn about job opportunities in the energy efficiency industry.
• Attend a special mentoring session featuring the following topics and speakers:
  • Moderator – Roseann Brusco from NSTAR
  • Engineer/Technical – Vin Graziano, CEO Rise Engineering
  • Evaluation / Research – Carol White, Director, Energy Efficiency Evaluation & Regulatory Affairs, National Grid
  • Service / Consulting – Mike Mernick, Senior Vice President ICF International
  • Policy – Commissioner Clifton Bellow from New Hampshire Public Utilities Commission

Students will be chosen to receive scholarships based on their interest in the industry, relevance of career plans, and commitment to attend the full conference and Business Leaders' Recognition Dinner program.
