Undergraduate and Graduate students interested in pursuing a career in energy, energy efficiency, the environment, business, public policy, facility management, engineering or architecture were eligible for a scholarship to attend the 2007 Northeast Energy Efficiency Summit.
Recipients received free admission to this regional event being held in Providence, Rhode Island on May 10, 2007. Scholarship recipients
- Developed relationships with industry experts.
- Networked with business executives, policymakers, consumer advocates, environmental regulators, energy efficiency service providers and efficiency program administrators.
- Learned about job opportunities in the energy efficiency industry.
- A special speaker session was available exclusively to scholarship recipients Top experts discussed what it is like to work in the energy efficiency industry, including:
- Pierre Bull, NYSERDA (policy perspective)
- Michael McAteer, National Grid (program administrator perspective)
- Mike Mernick ICF International (consulting perspective)
- Vin Graziano, RISE Engineering (engineering/technical perspective)
