Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships (NEEP) is a nonprofit organization founded in 1996 whose mission is to promote the efficient use of energy in homes, buildings and industry in the Northeast United States. It is NEEP's vision that the Northeast will become a national role model by investing in energy efficiency policies and programs as the basis of a sustainable energy policy, a vibrant economy, and a healthy environment.
NEEP applies our core values of Advocacy, Collaboration and Expertise to two main program areas, allowing us to reach and impact a broad audience.
NEEP Regional Energy Efficiency Initiatives increase the marketplace availability and adoption of quality energy efficient practices and technologies in the Northeast. NEEP plans and facilitates many initiatives including:
- ENERGY STAR Products
- High Efficiency Home Solutions
- Commercial Unitary HVAC
- High Efficiency Commercial Lighting
- Commercial and Industrial Information Exchange
NEEP Public Policy efforts develop and maintain a positive environment for the promotion of energy efficiency in the Northeast through these projects:
- Public Policy Outreach
- Northeast States Appliance Efficiency Standards Project
- High Performance Schools Exchange
- Regional Building Energy Codes Project
- Regional Measurement & Verficiation Project
NEEP's Annual Summit provides a regional forum to explore energy efficiency program and policy trends while facilitating partnership and strategic alliances that support and advance energy efficiency across the Northeast.
