The National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) Summer 2009 Membership Meeting
Baltimore, Maryland

At this meeting subcommittees and committees convene to debate and move forward important issues relating to the energy ratings of the fenestration industry. The NFRC’s Task Groups report at these meetings and work together on all types of issues effecting the fenestration industry throughout the year face to face and through conference call and web based/broadcast meetings. ACEEE Sumer Study on Efficiency in Industry

The 2009 ACEEE Summer Study is the 9th biennial ACEEE conference on Energy Efficiency in Industry. Participants from around the world will gather for three days to discuss technical, policy, financing, and program issues related to increasing energy efficiency in industry. Presentations and discussions will relate to the theme, Timing is Everything: Moving Investment Decisions to Energy-Efficient Solutions. ENERGY STAR Appliances and Consumer Electronics Partners

Chicago, IL

The U.S. Department of Energy’s national conference for ENERGY STAR qualified appliances. Goals for the meeting include:

  • Provide a forum in which to foster collaboration on appliance promotions
  • Provide partners with effective marketing messages and techniques when promoting ENERGY STAR qualified appliances to consumers
  • Discuss upcoming criteria changes and new product criteria development
  • Recruit partner participation for DOE’s Appliance Campaigns
  • Disseminate information on appliance rebates in the economic stimulus packages.

DOE Solid-State Lighting Vancouver Manufacturing WorkshopVancouver, Washington

Join DOE for a second Solid-State Lighting (SSL) Manufacturing Workshop, to build on the work begun at the inaugural workshop in April. Nearly 200 attendees gathered in Fairfax, Virginia, in April to identify critical issues and roadblocks on the path to lower cost, higher quality SSL products. Participants identified key barriers affecting SSL manufacturing and framed preliminary recommendations to address these barriers.
